Hey Wipeouts!

Some of you may remember the Pitre family from previous years on Wipeouts swim team (BJ and Julee, and their children Connor, Alyson, and Hannah.  They also hosted Max, an exchange student, last year, and he swam with the Wipeouts last summer.)  They were unable to swim with us this year for various reasons, but they still remain part of the Wipeouts family!  Recently, they received some difficult health news, as BJ has been diagnosed with stage 2 brain cancer (astrocytoma.).  As they prepare to begin treatments for him very soon, we'd like to show them a sign of support and encouragement.  

All this week at practice, we will have a large poster set up by the ribbon box for anyone to sign who would like to do so.  Additionally, if you feel so called to help support them through a donation, please contact one of the board members. Donations of cash or gift cards are very helpful with quick food purchases, parking expenses at MD Anderson, etc.  We'd like to collect all donations by this Friday, June 2nd.  Bottom line, this family loves on EVERYONE they come into contact with, and we want to show them that same love in return. :)
