Hey Wipeouts!

As we are all focused on watching the weather, here are a couple of things in regards to our first meet scheduled for tomorrow:

- The start time for the meet has been pushed to 11 AM instead of 9 AM (we get to sleep in for a Saturday during swim season!).  Arrival time for all swimmers should be no later than 9:15 AM for an 11 AM start.  This allows us enough time to check in and circle in our swimmers.  Swimmers will check in with the coaches to show that they are present.  We will have a volunteer who will circle in the swimmers and list their events on their arms. Swimmers will be on the pool for warm-ups at 10:15 AM.

- Pool information is Lakewood Residents' Club, 15006 Lakewood Forest Drive, Houston, TX 77070.  Attachments have been included are also available on the web site under the event.

- We will have a GO or NO GO call from the Team rep from Lakewood Forest tomorrow at 7:30 AM.  As soon as we get the information, we will share.  Assume the meet is a go until you hear differently from us.  If the meet is a NO GO for tomorrow, the meet will be held on June 15th.

- Please make sure that your family and swimmers are ready to go.  Please remember to bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks, goggles, towels and something to wear over your swimsuit.  Also, make sure you bring a pop up tent (or coordinate with another family), tarp or ground cloth (optional but it helps) and chairs.

- Volunteers will check in at our volunteer check in station.  If you are signed up for set up, please arrive no later than 9:00 AM.

- Please be prepared to stay for the entire meet.  If you are not able to make the meet tomorrow, please email us at [email protected] or use the Coaches Corner contact us form on the web site.  If you plan on leaving before the meet ends, please check out with Coach Emma (This is very important for relays and events).

- Please keep track of your swimmers tomorrow and make sure we are paying attention to announcements for events or if your swimmer is called.  We have to get our swimmers to the Ready Bench when their group is called in order to keep the meet moving quickly.  

- Tomball Splash Depot (our first mid-season invitational) is available for sign up.  This is a very fun invitational with very easy qualifying times and lot of awards.  Sign up must be done via the web site by 8 PM on Sunday, May 12th.  It will be held on May 19th at the Tomball ISD Natatorium.  Just a reminder, that the team will not be signing up your swimmers for Invitationals this year.  The parent(s) must log into the web site and list their swimmer as 'Will be Attending'.  Payments will be due by Tuesday evening.  A how to can be found on the main page of the web site.  IF A PARENT DOES NOT SIGN UP THEIR SWIMMER BY THE DEADLINE, IT WILL BE THE PARENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO TRY AND SIGN UP THEIR SWIMMER ON THEIR OWN.  WIPEOUTS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WRONG EVENTS ENTERED OR NOT GETTING A SWIMMER REGISTERED FOR AN INVITATIONAL!

- Picture Day will be Wednesday at 5:00 PM.  After the pictures, we will be having our official Rally night to kick off the swim season.  More on this later!

- We can not wait to see everyone tomorrow morning to officially kick off the season!  Remember to make sure your swimmers have a good dinner, appropriate breakfast have fund and most importantly...
