Hey Wipeouts!

It has been a great day today seeing all our swimmers in the pool. It has been at least 4 years that we can remember since we were actually swimming this early in the season.  Parents a couple of reminders for practices:

- Swimmers 7 and Up will need fins.  Swimmers 9 and up will need pull buoys.  Both of these are available for purchase from our merchandising coordinator (Rendie Peterson) and you can even save a few bucks and not even have to go to the store by getting these through Rendie.  We will be having more items available for purchase through consignment from D&J Sports as well (Goggles, Bungies, etc).  More to follow on these extra items.

- Make sure your swimmers are bringing water or sports drinks to stay hydrated along with towel and goggles.

- Parents please stay back from the pool during practices and no one should be on the side of the pool or other side of the pool as this is considered on deck and is limited to coaches and swimmers only.

- Parents please watch your kids and limit the number of kids on the playground (no kids should be on the playground in a swimsuit).  We have to be respectful of he community that we are swimming in.

A couple of items have been brought to the Board's attention:

- Home meets - We only have one home meet at Inverness this season (besides Time Trials).  We tried to host a home meet at Klein Cain but the district made this financially impossible to rent the pool for our two teams (as explained during parent night).   We will be the home team when we travel to Colony Creek on May 18th.  They will be hosting so they will be providing concessions.

- Concessions Donations - even though we are only hosting time trials and one home meet, we use/sell concessions donations throughout the season for Rally Nights, Crawfish Boil, Car Wash, Banquet and selling them during practices.

- Concessions are open during practices using the voucher system.  Vouchers can be purchased on Tuesdays with cash and can be paid on most other days using Venmo.  We have a card for each family to keep track of how much money you have left on your voucher.  This allows us to have concessions open during all practices without having to keep track of cash.  More items may be becoming available..more to follow on this later...

- Crawfish Boil- We are watching the weather like a hawk and will make a final call tomorrow based on the forecast.  We will follow up tomorrow evening with a Go or No Go on the Crawfish Boil this Saturday.  If it is cancelled, we will re-schedule.

- Just a reminder that we are still looking for sponsors so if you know of any sponsors, let us know or get them signed up as the deadline to get them included on the t-shirts is April 19th.  All the information including the form can be found on the web site under sponsors.
